Mother Nature also wants to watch the Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – It appears rain will make an appearance at the Masters, according to a forecast released by the tournament on Tuesday.

There is a 60% chance of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Wednesday morning. Clouds should decrease in the afternoon but it will remain breezy with gusts expected up to 40 kilometres per hour. The low is 17 C and the high is 23 C. Remember, last year was the first time in the history of the Masters that the Par-3 Contest was cancelled.

Thursday and Friday are expected to bring the best weather of the week. For Thursday’s first round the low is 6 C and the high is 20 C, with winds consistently between 8-16 KPH. The winds will pick up only slightly on Friday where the high is expected to be 24 C.

The weekend may become more challenging. There is a 60% chance of afternoon showers on Saturday and wind gusts could reach 32 KPH. The high is 20 C.

Sunday could bring early morning showers and it will remain partly cloudy throughout the day. Winds will be between 16-24 KPH. The low is 7 C, the high is 18 C.
